If yr askin how Sadao Watanabe is, he's kinda smooth Jazzy. Not the best smooth jazz. Gadd played with him quite a bit. He's alright, I was never blown away by any particular album though.
Yeah, Sadao Watanabe is pretty smooth jazzy - been around a long time. I remember having a live double album of his from the 80's with Gadd. As far as this DVD from Japanese TV, I guess you won't be doing too bad with Vinnie, Will Lee, Ricky Peterson, Carlos Rios, and Lenny Castro in the band.
If it is Sadao, yes, he always played it a little "too safe" for me AW. Eh, who asked me.
But he always surrounds himself w great musicians. He prob isnt as bad* as ya might think, just that he's playg the smooth-move thingy[?!] [*HOPEfully, anyway.] [img]wink.gif[/img]

I bought this off ebay a couple of months ago -I'm sure I posted about here. The music's a bit 'safe' but it's worth getting for the footage of Vinnie in full flight...a rare thing to find in itself....go for it!
